Driver Job Description:
The driver must make certain that all persons in the vehicle wear their seatbelts. Drivers must observe all traffic regulations. Drivers are personally responsible for any traffic citations (tickets) that may be issued as a result of operating a University vehicle. Driver is responsible for safe drive and also know the road well.
Driver Duties:
Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
Answer clients’ questions about the area and local places of interest
Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues
Book car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car
Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested
Collect payments and issue receipts
Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage
Driver Requirements:
Proven experience as a Driver
Minimum visual acuity of 20/50
Familiarity with GPS devices
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations
A high school diploma
A valid driver’s license
A clean driving records
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
Driver Salary in Dubai:
The average salary for drivers in Dubai is around 3,500 AED but taxi drivers may even earn up to 4,500 to 5,000 AED. Some companies also offer good salaries to their drivers.
